FINALLY!

. . . some new pictures. The honest truth is that I just didn't take that many pictures while everyone was here. Which, of course, leaves it up to Scott and Grandma to send me some of the many that THEY took. hint. hint. But here is one of Lu and Grandma Terry doing the iPod thing. The song was Shirley Temple's "Good Ship Lollipop," and Lutece could listen to it over and over again.

Yeah, Same to You Buddy!

As you can see, Phoenix still uses some of the sign language we taught him, but he doesn't get all of the signs quite right yet. Nooooooooo, really, he got some grass in his mouth and kept pointing at it yelling "Get it out of mouth!!" You'd think for a kid who will put nearly EVERYTHING in his mouth that a little grass wouldn't be so bad, but who can understand the mind of a two-year old.

As the temperatures soar, we have gotten creative with our activities. Stayc decided to entertain the kids AND water the lawn at the same time. Children and lawn enjoyed it equally, I'm sure.
Whooooh, that's refresssssssshhhhhhhing.

What Do You Do in 90 Degree Weather?

Finger-paint, of course. It looks more fun than it really was though. Phoenix was amazed that I was actually encouraging him to put paint on his fingers, which, of course, he then kept trying to eat. Lutece just wanted a paintbrush instead.
At least it kept them vaguely entertained for about 1/2 hour.
Once Phoenix realized the true potential of the paintbrush, he got a little more daring. Not content with painting the paper, he decided that Mom would be much more fun.
"Ready or not, here I come!" Boy, he's a fast little bugger.
Aaaaaaannnnnnnndddd, he got me. I'm done taking pictures for the time being.
