We believe . . .

Oops. One more. Stayc took this video of Phx. Since we've been working on the Articles of Faith with Lutece, Phx wanted in on the action. Here he is saying the First Article of Faith.

The Sandbox

Here's the last batch of pictures before we head out for Steve and Gayle's house on Tuesday. Of course, Courtney took these pictures. The kids are out in the sandbox . . . a mixed blessing. The kids love it, they will play in it by themselves, thus giving us up to 30 minutes of uninterrupted time inside, and yet, I find sand everywhere and you can't imagine how difficult it is to get sand out of hair."She's behind me, isn't she? I'm going to get sand in my hair, aren't I?"

So it's time versus mess. Depending on the day, either one wins out.

Courtney's Trip

Yes. We're still on pictures from Courtney's trip (there were so many!). These are all ones that Courtney took (I'll post more as the week progresses, so stay tuned). There was an even better one of Phx from this particular photo shoot, but when I tried to tweek it a little, my program told me I didn't have access and erased the photo entirely (so Courtney, send it to me again).

The lovely Lutece, in her Sunday-go-meetin'-finery.

A fun shot.
"Do I look like Cinderella?" "Am I as pretty as Cinderella?" "Does my voice sound like Cinderella's" Oh, for heaven's sake, YES! Which then starts Phoenix singing "Cinderella, Cinderella (cinrella), all I hear is Cinderella." I kid you not.

Mother's Day

We had so much fun with Courtney here last week. None of us were ready to see her go so soon. We took walks, visited some historic Kentucky sites, played a lot at home and just generally had a good time. Here are some pictures from Mother's Day.

Every night Phx says Goodnight to all of us before going to bed. Last week he started adding Courtney (Coco) to his list. "Night, night Coco." He still says it. Where is Coco though?

Oh, another funny story . . . Yesterday Phoenix was playing around with "Easter Bunny," his newly favorite stuffed animal, a gift from our next door neighbor. He kissed Easter Bunny and then made me kiss him ("Kiss Easter Bunny"). Then he starts rolling around on the ground with Easter Bunny saying "Rastle! Rastle Easter Bunny! Rastle Easter Bunny!" It took me a minute, but I finally realized he was wrestling with his beloved Easter Bunny.

Happy Mother's Day to me.

The Fourth Article of Faith

Here's Lu singing the 4th Article of Faith with her best falsetto. (I removed the other video, since noone seemed to be able to get it to play. You Tube sucks!)

Raven Run Sanctuary

While Courtney was here last week, we took the kids to a nature/hiking area on the outskirts of Lexington among the horse farms. Here are a couple of the pictures.
A flower for you.

The Whole Enchilada

Lu is in a definite family phase right now. She talks about all of you, all of the time. Look at that face. Don't YOU want to come and visit us? In the news, she currently has Articles of Faith 1-6 memorized and we are working on 7-8 (for a Primary challenge).

This is currently what we are getting with Phoenix when we say "smile." Hmmm, not quite what we're looking for, buddy.

This is a little better. He's learning to stay in his bedroom during nap and bedtimes. Although we still find him asleep all over the floor, just as frequently he can be found in either his crib or his "big bed." The other day Stayc and I heard him talking to himself and wondered if we'd heard him say what we both THOUGHT he'd said . . . so we tested him out. Stayc sang, "A-B-C-D" and Phoenix sang "E-F-G." No way! We couldn't believe it. We went through the rest of the alphabet with Phx completing each line up to Z. Definitely a second child.

We had a Cinco de Mayo/Derby Day party yesterday with some friends in the area. We ended up with about 10 kids running through the house ages 20 months to 6 years old. We had Mexican food, watched the Derby (rooting for our chosen horse . . . Stayc's won), and, of course, had a pinata . . . a horse-shaped pinata, no less. Lutece kept calling it an enchilada. "Um, Mom, when are we going to do the enchilada?" Soon, sweety, soon.
